2004 34K Miles 4WD 2004 out of Wyoming. Bought this from a dealership that had no info on it. Drove it from Salt Lake to Peoria Il. Had a coolant and power steering hose leak that is fixed now. The truck has had a lot of money thrown at it at one time, Novi 1200, Stainless headers, Maxnaflow Dual Outlet, Transmission shifts very firm with some type of transmission control unit mounted to the fender but no wires running to it.
Any how the O2 sensors all had bolts in them so I decided it might be good to put them back in. Immediately after it warmed up started misfiring. Took them back out and ran great again. It see's about 9-10# of boost and the wide band reads 7.8 under any throttle position except for coasting on its own it shoots up to 20.8. Does this sound like a similar tune that anybody else had? I can't find a FMU? Help or suggestions please? _________________ Number 3463 |

I am assuming this is a stock 5.7 hemi and if it is truly pushing 9-10 psi on the OEM internals, that is a recipe for disaster.
The FIRST thing I would do is set up an appointment with Tim Barth at Barth Tuning. https://www.facebook.com/barthtuning/
He is less than 3 hours away from you.
Tim knows his S*** and can set you up with a custom tune which will get the most out of your set up and still be safe to run.
Good luck. _________________ >>Greg<<

I have a cat back exhaust and I'm pretty sure the O2 sensors are all still intact. The extra control module that is installed on the fender-well tricks them so it can run super rich during wide open throttle. My truck has 41k miles on it now.
Your system may have had a tune completed with larger injectors installed.
I still have the old gsm module that came with aux injectors installed on the throttle body and an extra control computer to tune it.
I took a look and the o2 sensors are still setup and intact.
It runs super rich at 10psi which can stall the engine if I let up too fast at WOT but i'm pretty sure thats what has been keeping it safe all these years. Plus I absolutely do not beat on it. _________________ Dmacell

The plan is to get it on a Dyno ASAP and I've driven it pretty gingerly other then through the mountains from SLC to home. Being it was running that rich I wasn't overly concerned rather then running lean. I've had numerous boosted cars in the past, just never seen one where they deleted the O2's purposely. The next question was who tunes Hemi's in these parts, Tim Barth is a name I've heard before. _________________ Number 3463 |

the o2`s sensors are specific. when I helped put a set of longtube on an 04 5.7 the thing threw a bunch of codes. the fix was a set of wideband o2`s and fooled the computer. not sure if that's helpful. there are a couple real good tuners in chicago |

Dmacell what belt part # are you running on your system? Mine is looking worn and I can't read the numbers. _________________ Number 3463 |

Thank you, that's the belt I came up with but just wanted to verify. Paxton wasn't very helpful. _________________ Number 3463 |
