As you all know we have experienced a bunch of BS with the production #s on our bees. Well, finally I got thru to some people today that were finally honest about it for the first time. I talked to 2 different branches of dodge, one being viper headquarters, which handles alot of the special edition stuff, and another being Team Dodge. I'll provide numbers at the bottom of the post for anyone interested. Seems that the good old Rumble Bees are still currently in production, it hasn't ceased and according to them will probably continue until the end of the year and maybe even later. I kept getting the 3700 answer, that was going to be all that was made and no more, but then they (dodge) stepped it up to accomidate its orders and interest in the bees. PEOPLE LIKED THEM, yeah but what about a limited edition?????????????? I guess we all got plunged on that one, didn't we! Get this, the guy told me to call back at the BEGINING of next year to see how many were finally produced. Man, this sucks so bad for us! I think we all need to get togethor, whether it be written statements or what and pursue this with DC in some way. I mean alot of the guys out here paid full retail - rebates for these trucks because they were "limited edition" trucks. I got mine at a good deal seeing the ups and downs on the prices, but thats not the point as much as the limited edition is. Is there anyone who wants to pursue this? Is there any way you may think that will work? What do think will work or how? All I can tell you is we need to get a ball rolling before they mass produce them because "PEOPLE LIKE THEM." Post all replys here in this thread so we can keep it organized, then we can send it to the money hungry lords over at DC.

Well if they are at 4,xxx now, I'm sure 5000 + will be made. What really makes me mad is that they were sold on a limited edition and the limited keep getting bumped due to them selling so well. So DC is making money and not making a limited edition, and it looks like thats all DC cares about. _________________ ~Robin~

I contacted a supervisor at Team Dodge today. I got him to admit that if he bought a limited production vehicle and then the numbers changed that he would consider the company not credible. I'm supposed to get a call from the supervisor of the group responsible for the Rumble Bee. My contention is that if a company lets a production number out in public on a limited production vehicle, then they are using that number to sell the vehicle. I feel that in order to build brand loyalty and faith, Dodge cannot simply sell the vehicle as a limited production and then say limited to as many as they can sell. That's car salesman speak. Dodge knows that the number 3700 has been made public and in fact some of you have reported that they tried to stick with that number until pushed. I asked the guy I was talking to, for Dodge to do something for only the first 3700 Bee owners that makes their trucks unique. I don't know what that could be, but something. I feel that the dealer and Dodge made misrepresentations in order to sell more trucks. They built urgency to buy the truck by saying it's very limited and then produced as many as they could sell. I would like to see some sort of rebate to those production numbers under 3700. Even if it's only $200.00 or so. Just something to show good faith. My feeling is that they will back peddle using salesman speak and legal terms to try to get out of any liability. The best way to handle any issue is through numbers. If many of us call then at some point Dodge will have to address the situation. We need to call all in the same day and at the same time in order to show cohesiveness as a group. Like a class action lawsuit shows a company that not just one person has a problem with them. Thanks for reading this post. _________________ 2004 Black Rumble Bee, lowered 4.5 rear 2.5 front, push button ignition, remote toneau cover. |

It was my understanding that only 5,000 will be made. I am #3953 so you could say over 4,000 have already been made. Hopefully they will not try to mass produce our bee's, i dident pay 31,000 bucks MSRP for a everyday dodge single cab with a hemi, i bought a limited production ass hauling machine. Hell if they are going to do that I could have gotten a extended cab with a hemi for the same price. I guess we will have to cross our fingers |

I think that it is wrong what Dodge did....I was told there were none being brought to Maine....but that wasn't true....and I bought mine as a collector vehicle....I was told less than 3k were going to be made...
I think if we raise a big enough stink....via phone, letters, newspapers, news channels, etc.....we should be able to get Dodge's attention...I also belong to DTW and I think that they would back us as well..and they have a lot of members.....
I also have a Pontiac GP Limited Edition and it's one of 1500 made....My dash plaque on that car says 811/1500, so you know how many were made....This should of been done on the b's.....
Definitely I think we should raise a stink and do it fast, as to stop production of the b's. It may sound hard or we may be told we can't do this, but anything can be done, if we all work together....trust me....I've dealt with Dodge on many issues and I would push until I got what was right. _________________ _________________

we could just keep calling them once a day asking them how many are being made and watch each time we get a different answer. i would think at least that the company doing the work to the truck after its left the plant would know the production number. dodge is not doing the special stuff to the rumble bees i thought. its some other company. does anyone have that companys phone number? _________________ Paul

I agree with you guys. This is my very first new vehicle ,and first car payment and I am 45 years old.I bought it because I have many old mopars and thought the bee was cool and limited edition as not to see too many around .DC should at least give us guys under 3700 are money back JUST KIDDING but how about a nice upgrade of choice lile radios or bed covers or? Maybe someone could print these E-mails and mail them to DC in all departments even all the dealers so everyone sees how we feel |

A full refund less a deduction for mileage would not be at all unreasonable. Then Dodge would have a bunch of used trucks to sell and would lose a lot of money paying those of us off. That and the bottom would drop out of their market for new Rumble bee's.
I think we should start writing and calling Dodge with some suggestions of how they might handle us disgruntled buyers that were duped. |

I traded a Chrysler Crossfire for my Rumblebee. I was ver impressed with the looks and the fact that this was a limited edition truck. I was told by the dealer that Dodge was making 3000 black rumblebees and 3000 yellow rumblebees. I am all for contacting Dodge in regards to the supposed limited edition issue. |

I own #3010. When I purchased mine the dealership told me they could not go under MSRP because Dodge had stopped production. If I did not pay what they wanted someone else would. Now I find out that production is still going and all of our trucks are not so limited. Sounds like I will be calling Dodge and complaining with the rest of you. |
