After seeing all the things going on with the Rumblebee I think all of us in this group need to submit a class action letter to Dodge Marketing with our concerns.

1. We paid all the extra$ to have a LIMITED EDITION Rumblebee and
Dodge doesnt quite understand the legality in the term 'limited edition'.

2. We are upset they continue to produce large numbers far exceeding what they said was a limited of edition of 3,700. This WILL effect our resale value as there will be many more Bees out in circulation than originally expected.

3. Many dealers (including one dealer i visited who had a V6 ram 1500 with a Bee stripe!) are trying to pass off regular rams with Bee stickers on them as Official Rumblebees. This is WRONG and against the law. Dodge needs to stop this.

4. No one but rumble bee owners should be allowed to purchase replacement Bee stripes, yellow inner door panels, yellow center console bezel, or BEE stickers...ect... proof of Bee ownership should be required to purchase this.

5. If Dodge cannot implement at least some of these changes we want a refund via check for the extra $$ we paid to own a Limited Edition vehicle that was falsely advertised.

hows does my idea sound?
I live in Michigan and only about 15 miles from Chrysler world HQ.
I would be willing to try to draft a letter. Maybe someone on here is a Attorney and can help us with this? It would be interesting to see Dodges response.

IS this a good idea?

You can count me in on signing a letter or whatever it takes. I like some of your ideas, specially the ones about Bee owners being the only ones to be able to buy Bee parts, accessories, etc. and the dealers being able to falsely advertise the ones they're selling to the public that aren't the original real Rumble Bees. Like my husband said, if we had bought that one, once we drove it off the lot, it woulda been ours like it or not and the resale value woulda been worthless.
I really considered driving mine back to the first dealer we dealt with the next day and showing me what their truck shoulda looked like, inside and out!

I got window tint with an eyebrow and the in channel window visors on it, finally.
Plan on adding Rhinoliner before summer is over and eventually leather seat covers (hate these darn cloth ones, they grab and don't let go!)

If you bought this truck as an investment, I have some land in Florida next to a nice lake I will sell you. You can send all the letters you want, but you will not get $$ out of DC. Maybe they will get your point .. but that is about it. Coming from a DC employee

I'M IN
READ MY POST IN "OFF TOPIC POSTS" "WRITE YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL"
I AGREE WITH YOUR POINTS,BUT #4 WON'T FLY.

BEE 4728,I DON'T THINK ANY OF US BOUGHT OUR BEE'S AS AN INVESTMENT BUT HAVING SOMETHING THAT IS A LIMTED EDITION SHOULD RETAIN ITS VALUE BETTER.THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

It is great to see even the DODGE workers are as rude as the dealers are about this subject. Just makes the point even stronger that they give a SH## less about the customer. Only worried about putting dollars in their pocket, And might I say at any cost to us. Go figure they dont think we pay their wages. Just a note , noticed profile for these so called dodge people dont give a location like most of us do. Twisted Evil

I did not buy my truck as an investment, nor am i attempting a class action lawsuit... its a class action REQUEST of chrysler detailing as Bee owners our disatisfaction. I could have just bought a ram 1500 black with a Hemi and saved a bunch of cash $ had I known the Bee package means nothing as far as limited edition.

I have also never seen a Chevy dealer take a regular Corvette and put Z06 badges on it when its not a Z06. Why are Dodge dealers trying to pass off these fake Bees? not right in my mind.

We DID pay extra for Rumblebee limited edition and if the company themselves make light of this, then we were all ripped off.
Do you think your vehicle will be worth maybe a little more on a used car lot if they only make 3,700 as opposed to 13,000 I do.

I know they cannot control someone from buying the body kit, but if they can limit who they sell the yellow stripes, Bee logo, yellow bee door panels, and yellow center console Bezel then at least we are that much more safe.

I also own a Buick Grand National. One of the reasons the car is still worth the $12,000 I paid for it was that they only produced it in limited edition from 1984 - 1987. Lots of fakes out there too. you gotta be careful. NO ONE thought that this buick would hold its value like it did.

I believe you are wrong. Deceptive advertising is illegal. They got a lot of customers to buy a Rumble Bee because they are limited. They made the mistake of actually printing a number. Investment or not it is illegal to make promises like DC did and then disregard them. Not all buyers bought because of the limited edition advertising but many did because of that little plaque on the dash and many dealers used the 3700 number to get a buyer to buy. A good lawyer could take that Chrysler ad and make a pretty strong case. I challenge you to make the case for Chrysler knowing that they advertised in print a limited number of 3700. Show me on the ad that numbers are subject to change. Show me any ad for a Rumble Bee, that lists a limit number, that shows anything is subject to change. That would be the only argument you would have if you could come up with numerous ads showing that disclaimer.

There is a Dealer in Denver that is passing off many truck's as Bee's. I bought a quad cab hemi sport because I needed the 4 doors and put the bee logo on becuase I believe it looks better than the hemi sport logo. I do know that my truck is not a bee and I dont intend on passing it off as one like the dealership has.
I have talked to a few people that have them and after looking at there truck I realized that they are not Bee's but they do not know what they had purchaed is not a lagimate bee. I would think there would be a fraud claim with Dodge for these owners and legitimate bee owners.

I'd be happy if they bought mine back at sticker, then I could get the SRT 10......LOL.....I don't know if any of you all are into trading vehicles alot, but the resale/trade value on the BEE is terrible. I looked at a few new rides in the past 3 weeks, best trade offer was 16,000 for my 1 of 43 RB. I'll put mine in the shed and close the door on it before I take 16,000 for it, and never drive it again.

This is why I never listen to the, limited edition makes it more valuable, crap. All Dodges have terrible resale. Even the Viper. Keep it in perfect condition for thirty years and it will be worth something. The best resale car I ever owned was a Mini Cooper S.
