I've been going back and forth about replacing my muffler with a straight pipe. Can anyone tell me how easy/hard this would be and what it would make my bee sound like?

I replaced my muffler with a straight pipe. It cost me $60 at a local custom exhaust shop. It sounds great, but gets loud inside the cab when going up a hill or doing 70 or over on the expressway.

ohhh buddy. do you have like 15 minutes of free time?!

crawl under the truck with a wrench, some pliers and a flat head screw driver. loosen the bolts on the muffler, use the pliers and screw driver to pry the hangers off and then just "gently" yank off the tail pipe and muffler.

i took my muffler off in no time and the sound is amazing and the MPG gains are up by 20% !!! plus if i need to turn the truck back to 100% stock i can do it in my driveway in no time.

i do have an AT3030, but the sound of the raw unmolested exhaust is amazing, its not too loud surprisingly and there isnt a lot of resonance in the cab! its just a good, powerful sound. this one guy in a firefly was staring at me as we were driving down the highway Razz its an awesome sound and for being free fast and easy, you cant go wrong Razz

on another note. does anyone know if passanger side non-cutout ground effects are available?
